I have been in the insurance industry since 1990. My first 17 years were spent with a direct writer, but I found being able to compare different companies and offer options to clients allowed me to do a more professional job for them.
As a charter member of NAIFA, the National Association of Insurance and Professional Advisors, I have earned their LUTCF professional designation. I am a firm believer in constant education and growth in my industry. Giving back to the community is also important. One way in which I do that is through a service club I belong to, the Academy Optimist Club.
A native of Denver, Colorado, I attended the University of Colorado and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast journalism. The first five years after college were spent as a radio reporter and news anchor where I received several awards from The Associated Press and The Colorado Broadcasters Association.
Growing up in Colorado, I have a passion for outdoor activities including fishing, ice fishing, camping, bike riding, occasional snow shoeing and mountain scenery photography. And growing up here, I always cheer for our Colorado Sports teams, mainly the Broncos.
